In this edition of MERCARI GEARS, we focus on the moderation system developed by Mercari's TnS team (Trust and Safety team).

Violation Detection Using Machine Learning at Mercari [AI@Mercari].

The moderation system is a system used by the Customer Success (CS) team to provide a trust and safety marketplace, and uses machine learning to detect items that may violate market policies.

To achieve a safer marketplace, we have devised a system architecture for the moderation system, separate models for each market policy, and request processing in coordination with the CS, which is explained in the video.
